I just recently got a RRA M4 complete post-ban upper. One of the things that bothers me is the "wiggle" in the M4 handguards. My other AR15 handguards are tight and barely move. Is there a solution to this? Any help is appreciated. |
| I use a black hi temp RTV silicone made by GE for use as gasketing on engines. I apply a little bead on the inside rear of the handguards where they engage the teeth of the barrel nut, and on the tabs on the front, where they engage the handguard cap. Do NOT wipe away excess when you assemble. Let it harden, slice the bead of excess silicone with a sharp knife, and peel it away. You can easily remove the handguard next time, and reapply if needed. |
