m&a drum is marked 0-5-10-15-20
dpms drum is marked 6/3-z 4-5
colt drum is marked 8/3-4-5-6-7

the colt and dpms rear sight bases have a course sprial thread on the elevation screw

the m&a base has a fine thread pitch for elevation

the m&a carry handle measures .832 from the bottom of the handle to the top where the rear sight sits, when down tight.
the dpms measures .800,which is .032 difference in heights. .0025= 1/4min/inch for a 12min/inch overall variation in elevation if these handles were interchanged.
why would this be. is there not a industry standard, why are there differently marked drums, and styles of thread pitch
