m&a drum is marked 0-5-10-15-20 dpms drum is marked 6/3-z 4-5 colt drum is marked 8/3-4-5-6-7 the colt and dpms rear sight bases have a course sprial thread on the elevation screw the m&a base has a fine thread pitch for elevation the m&a carry handle measures .832 from the bottom of the handle to the top where the rear sight sits,when down tight. the dpms measures .800,which is .032 difference in heights. .0025= 1/4min/inch for a 12min/inch overall variation in elevation if these handles were interchanged. why would this be. is there not a industry standard,why are there differently marked drums, and styles of thread pitch |
