I found this lower and was curious about the quality.  It appears to have the serial number AA####.  According to Olyarms.com was made in 1992.  What would some of ya'll value an animal like this at?  Thanks in advance for any info.

Aaron,

Well here's my take on it.  I just bought a brand new T6 Forged Lower from oly for $99 so I would value it at around $60.  Before I get flamed here's why.

1. Assuming its a 92 it was legally a pre-ban lower, however since it is now in a stripped condition it is no longer legally a pre-ban lower.  Chances of anyone knowing it was stripped and rebuilt ar almost 0% but technically you are creating an ILLEGAL assault weapon.

2. If your intent is to build a post-ban rifle then you're probably better off spending the $99 and getting a brand new lower anyway.

3. If you believe that the assault weapon ban will go away in september, which I do, You would be better off waiting until September and buying a $99 brand new one.  You will be dealing with somone who wants to sell you their ILLEGAL pre-ban lower (see #1 as to why) and he will want a pre-ban price around $200-$300. Worst case the AWB doesn't sunset and the prices will still be around $200-$300 ...

Constructive criticism welcome,

Opps, I forgot you asked about the quality as well.  I have an Oly ultramatch upper on my lower and its an extremely tight fit.  Shoots great, and I have had no problems with it so far (aprox 500 rds through it)
