Hi,  I'm new to your world here.  I'm planning on building my first AR.  I've read through the archives and answered most of my questions but I've got a few left.  Here's basically what I'm looking for.  I want a light accurate rifle to use for predator hunting but with enough accuracy for little critters at long range.  I want a flat top, free floated, 18" stainless barrel and good trigger.  I'm thinking of going mainly with RRA stuff.  Now here's my questions.
1. I want a stock slightly shorter than the A3 to use in the winter with lots of clothes, what are my options?
2. Can I expect accuracy of at least 1" with a standard weight barrel or will I need a fluted heavy barrel.
3. I want to lighten the gun by 1-1.5 lbs.  What are the easiest, cheapest, changes that can be made to lighten the gun?
4. Any guess on the weight difference between free floating handguards and standard handguards?
5. I read a recomendation for the Wolf Springs, action spring.  What makes it different?

Thanks for all the info I've already received from you guys.

1) 'Slightly' is the A1 stock.  There are lots of choices.  The best length comparison I've seen is here:

2) Have a look at the RRA site, note the 1MOA in the following pic (I like this a lot):

3) Weight: The easiest and most practical way is to order a lightweight barral to begin with.

4) Free floating handguards are all over the spectrum, some lighter, some significantly and suprisingly heavier.

5) Ah, skip it, IMO.  Too complicated and heavy. Regular old "SPROING" springs have been working flawlessly for decades.
