Can some one give me detailed instrutions on how the peel washer is used to "time" an A2 flash suppressor when you install it?

You need to keep trimming or "peeling" it down.  Tighten the FS, see if it lines up, cut/ peel a little back, try again....and so on.

My answer is to use the Crush washer.  It makes life much easier!

The peel washer are thin discs soldered together, you can peel each layer off with a razor blade.  I forgot how much each layer equals in thickness, but as stickman said, just keep peeling until the FS times the way you want.  The crush washer is really easy, just torque until it's set the way you want, but the crush washer only crushes once from what I understand so it's a one time deal affair.

It helps to heat the peel washer.(I use a pair of pliers and a bic lighter.) The heat softens the glue that holds numerous paper thin layers of peel washer. Careful these layers are sharp!! Now you can play with the thickness to time the flash-hider. I keep all the extra pieces/layers to add or subtract from future installs. Hope this helps.
