Fire it 10x cleaning after each shot. Then go have fun. Anything more is a boongoggle.

I shot the piss out of my Colt MT6601 when it was new. No cleaning between rounds or anything and it shoots extremly well.

Unless you are going to shoot at 500 or 600 yds or enter benchrest matches, I think bbl breakin is bullshit. Just shoot it. There were accurate rifles long, long before all this breakin horseshit began.

Enjoy!

break it in by lubing good so the carrier breaks in the upper.Chrome lined barrels dont need break in and after a couple hundred rounds the bore will polish out.An AR will run nice and smooth after a couple thousand rounds.Thats how I have done mine cleaning after every 500 for 2 thousand. The last time I shot I went 2 thousand without cleaning and I only stopped cause ammo ran out.The rifle is nice and smooth now.
