[ARCHIVED THREAD] - help with M4 barrel

i decided on building my own M4a3. i found a barrel at j&t but i am confused. do it get the standard gas tube or carbine gas tube?

It'd be much easier if ya'd mention what length barrel your purchasing, but my "Crystal Ball" says the carbine length. [;)]

added: 14.5" - 16" M4s = carbine length
16" Dissy - 20" bbls = standard length

Yep Mr. Wilson is right, 14.5 - 16", pre or post ban....carbine length. However, if it's a Bushy Dissipator, that's carbine length also. If it's a cut down 20, it's standard or rifle length.
