Your will need a rear sight for the new upper, the other parts are transferable, instructions are easy. how hard is it really to completly build an upper from scratch?

As long as you don't go "WEC" with it, and take it easy, you'll be fine.

So pretty much what I do is remove the gas tube, use a barrel wrench to remove the barrel, and then just tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen, tighten the barrel on the new upper, install gas tube?
