| HAS ANYONE TRIED TO THREAD THEIR OWN AR BARREL TO MOUNT A MUZZLE BRAKE . OR IS IT WISE TO HAVE GUNSMITH DO IT |
|
I wouldn't do it without a lathe. I guesssince you are asking this question, you don't have a lathe and know how to single point thread. [;D] Seriously, this not the type of a job that you can just run a threading die down the tube. You need to remove a portion of the diameter of the barrel material and then rethread per the COMPENSATOR manufacturer's recommendation. Put that COMPENSATOR on crocked and you will ruin you barrel at the very least. Take it to a 'smth. |
