[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Light Service Rifle Float Tube?

I would like to add a free float tube to my AR, but I don't want to change the looks of it by using a round aluminum float tube. I am aware of the DCM-style service rifle float tubes, but they are all made from heavy steel since those that typically use them don't care about the added weight. Is there an under handguard float tube made from aluminum?

I'm not sure, but I prefer the looks of my V Match FF tubes anyway.

You'd think a lightweight mockup could be fabbed of the DCM freefloat assembly fairly simply.

another option is to go with a railed floattube and add panels, then it would sort of look the same.

That's about as close as you can get I think.
