I recently bought a barreled upper from Model 1 Sales.  When I put it on my Bushmaster lower I noticed that it was a fairly tight fit and requires me to tap it in and out.  Upon further inspection I noticed that the milled hole for the rear pin (on the upper) is not a perfect cylindrical hole....maybe like it didn't fit perfectly so it was remilled ever so slightly so that it would fit. I'm new to all this so my question is "Am I being too anal about this?" and is this going to have any effect on my gun as a whole in the future? I am avoiding them for other parts though, i.e. everything else. Thanks for any advice you guys can provide.

When I mated my Mod1 flattop upper to my RRA lower they were also tight. Scared the crap out of me because I had a very hard time seperating them by hand. First shooting session and they loosend up just nice. Don't sweat it!

Same problem with being tight with a JT upper and RRA lower. They loosen up with wear. Open and close it about 20 times. It gets better.

As for the hole... sounds suspecious, but I've gotten a varmint upper from Model 1 and it didn't shoot as well as expected so I wouldn't be suprised. However if you send it back they would probably replace it if it doesn't look like you did it. (ie. no missing finish)
