Anyone know of a good place to get a lower hard anodized? I was going to send it to DPMS but they say it will be 2-3 months and I can't wait that long. Some place in arizona would be preferable. Thanks.

That is better than what they told me a month ago.  They told me 4 to 6 months.

DPMS told me the last time that it would be two/three months. Got back two receivers SIX months later. They wait until they have enough to 'batch'. Nice work but to damned long!

I have a contact for anodizing but the info is at home. I'll post the addy later this evening.

Check out http://www.tanneryshop.com/COATING.html . This is a quote from an email about turnaround time:
No longer than 10 days, but a turnaround of one week is normal!  If you need something in a rush we can also work that in.

Thanks,
Victor

I'll be sending Victor a list of parts for a price quote.

I don't understand why some folk get the exotic finishes. If it's good enough for Uncle Sugar, it's good enough for me!

Looks like Victor is using some sort of resin over the anodizing.. wonder if it's Norrells... or Krylon... maybe Rustoleum... ya might wanna inquire.

Already had it done by victor. The finish looked nice until I started putting it together. Because it's just a coating it flakes, chips and scratches really easily. It's about to be sent to precision coating for a milspec refinish. Thanks for all the responses.
