I am new to Ar's , i came from a FAL/L1A1 Background, however i am building my First AR , i like to Work with my Hands and tinker Plus i am saving $350 by doing it myself, However i have some typical Newbie Questions: 1) What is the click adjustment the A-2 sights ? Is it 1/4 or 1/2 per click? I know it varies between A-1 and A-2. 2)Should i smooth up the hammer and trigger before installing or should i let them break in naturally with useage? 3)Is a Bushmaster trigger better than Colt? How do they Compare? 4)Should i lube the trigger and pins while installing or do it afterwards? 5)Is a Bushmaster Lower with Trigger, Hammer and Selector installed worth $249? 6) Whats a Fair price to Pay for a BM and a oly lower in a Gunshop? I will be Picking up one tommorow but the Gundshop wants $ 139 for either one is that Fair? |

1)Bushmaster A2- 1MOA 2)Either one. Use Action Magic from brownells.com. 3)Bushmaster triggers are better by virtue of the fact that they use standard pin sizes and Colt does not. 4)You may as well. 5)Yeah. If you want to save money look at cavalryarms.com. 6)Don't know. |

Quoted: 5)Is a Bushmaster Lower with Trigger, Hammer and Selector installed worth $249? 6) Whats a Fair price to Pay for a BM and a oly lower in a Gunshop? They seem to run $249 to $269. If you're looking at the complete lower less stock assembly, then it's a bit high. For a Bushmaster stripped lower, yea, I'd most likely not flinch at that price simply because it's there... No shipping or FFL transfer fees, but you'll pay the state tax. I wouldn't give half that for any Oly... but that's just me. |

I have a couple of questions also. On J&T Dist. kits: 1. Why are there different trigger groups? a. Standard trigger Group b. 2 stage trigger group c. KAC 2 stage trigger 2. What makes one better then the other? I live in CA and building a FAB10 lower and J&T kit. This is my first build and would be very gratefull for any of your tips, info. |
| With the J&T kits the other two options are just Triggers that some shooters like , like a 2 stage military trigger that you would find on a fine Bolt Action Rifle , Go with the Standard trigger, the Standard JT trigger is made by the same Contractor that makes Colt triggers only they are made to Milspec, these are awesome triggers , clean and light and breaks smoothly , excellent triggers, the other two option you will have to Pay extra for Also, |
