I saw in the SGN that JTDistributing has HBar uppers with a 1-9 twist under $300.00 Being as how I'm new to AR's I figured I ask the folks who know... Do these (or JT for that matter) have any reputation good bad or indifferent? I should know about while researching a purchase? JT says they use Shaw barrels on FN contract uppers. |

Hi; I've got a J&T kit with one of their 16" HBAR uppers. The barrel itself is a Shaw of very high quality, and the receiver is a FN contract, also of very high quality. J&T Distributing's products have a very good reputation, as many others will be able to attest. The only problem is that if the barrel is an HBAR, it'll be pretty darn heavy, but this is common to all HBARs. Don't bother with buying "name brand". The extra that you spend will be for the name only. |

I have a J&T 16" CAR built on a Numrich lower. It runs great and looks terrific. Quality is top notch. I have the M4 fixed stock on mine and it is a little nose-heavy from the HBAR barrel, but it is still an excellent rifle. The service is good also. Just go to the Industry section of this board and look up J&T. You will find a long list of satisfied customers there. The quality is equal to any name-brand AR you could mention, so you are truly only buying a name when you go with one of the ABCs. Panzer Out |
