I want to add an aluminum floating handguard on my Bushmaster XM15 E2S.  What would be involved in this?  Is it a pain to remove the front site and what tools would be needed?

Thanks

It can be a challenge. You'll need a set of barrel vise jaws, a big hammer, and a punch. Remember, the taper pins get driven out from the LEFT of the sight. I've done this a few times and different pins are easier than others. Good Luck!
