| I picked up a complete upper this weekend at a gun show. A2 sight, forward assist, 16" barrel. The barrel is a Shaw HBAR 1/9. I have not heard any thing about Shaw barrels. Any input please. |

Although they don't list completed AR barrels for sale on their web site, I'm certain that if you wanted to buy a dozen gross or so of AR barrels, they would be more than happy to "tool up" for the job. I've got E.R. Shaw barrels on several different bolt action rifles and never had a moments problem with any of them. Got one AR with a "purported" Shaw 16" non-chrome lined barrel on it and it shoots better than I do. Check 'em out at www.ershawbarrels.com HTH . . . . . . Doug |
My Shaw 16" barrel also came from J&T it is not crome lined and is also very accurate..Can outshoot anyone on the range with it its deadly accurate and you can polish the chamber with Flitz to shine it up..I also did the same Google search when I bought mine from J&T came to the same conclution they are a jobber probobly make most of the barrels that ARs are made from in these KITS..Deadly Accurate

I just bought the stainless bull upper from J&T in i6" 1x8 twist with the FN flat top upper. And I have to give credit where credit is due. I was not to impressed at first, looking down the barrel I noticed there was a Burr where the gas tube had been drilled. Called J&T and they told me not to worry ...just shoot it out. Took it to the range and with in 30 rounds of Swiss ammo and the break-in cycle on a new barrel I was shooting 1 inch. after more cleaning and a few more rounds and playing with different ammo I shot under 1/2 inch with 62 grain Swiss surplus.. I was amazed, I know that with a heaver bullet(69 or 77 grain) this barrel will do one hole on the 100 with no problem. The barrrel is very competitive with higher priced barrels. | have an ar-15 shaw barrel that I bought from model one. Works fine and the price was right no problems on the install and operation. Recently picked up a barrel from shaw for my 700 remington. The guy on the phone at shaw said they make bunches of ar barrels for sale to the industry. |
