I am looking at pulling the trigger on a DBAL I2.

I have only used my PVS 14 behind an Eotech, I have a helmet set up and would like to use it more.

Those who have experience, do you like the PVS 14 behind an Eotech/AP or do you like using an aiming laser??

I think most people who have tried both now think of rail mounted nvd's as "clown shoes".

OTAL's are a good budget option. Particularly if you intend to outfit multiple rifles.

The NV game is expensive, got the PVS: then needed a mount, then needed a NV compatable sight, then needed a helmet, then needed IR light....

I am leaning towards the DBAL since I have a chunk of money, I can scrounge 4 bills together to get the AP PRO later.

Laser for sure.  One benefit is not having to raise the gun overtime you want to check something.

Head mounted with an IR LAM all the way.  Rifle mounted NV is a lot less useful for most tasks, IMO.

If you spend the money to get an IR laser, get one that has an IR illuminator built in, like the I2 single spectrum or the DBAL A3 if you really need a vis laser.

Thank me later

Rail mounted monoculars are for Fobbits.

I have a Dbal D2 and love it.
