Here is the picture of my current light mount set up. It is actually an older Safariland plastic mount designed to be worn on our gunbelts with the crappy Safariland light. We had dozens of the mounts sitting around and I tried it. Long story short I LOVE the position it puts the light, just about perfect for me. It is the way I currently mount lights on all of my AR15s. HOWEVER it is a piece of plastic and it requires me to zip tie it to the rifle, not optimal of course. It has never given me any trouble and I beat the Hell out of this rifle(its a duty rifle) Is there any quality metal mount you guys know of that will give me this same mounting position?? Thanks in advance! TJR

You look to have the MI Gen2 SS rail as I do. I made my own mount that puts the light in the exact placement as you have yours. The Gen 2 SS rails lack, so I started putting things to paper and made what you want.
Get yourself two 1" steel scope rings (they don't cost much) that are split at 9 & 3 o'clock. Look for the shortest height you can find. I think 1/8". They have round indents on the bottoms that can be center-punched and drilled.
Once drilled, from inside the ring, they need to be counter-sunk (mate original MW Industries screws for rail sections)

The Elzetta ZRX light mount will get the light really close to where you want it. There are other similar mounts as well but I like the Elzetta model.
