Hello,
This is my first post on this forum. Can you identify this weapon light? Looks like it is late 80´s or 90´s design.

Body is aluminium, diameter 44 mm (1.75”). It takes four CR123 batteries.
Mounts to M16 style bayonet lug. Slot width is 11 mm (.43”) and depth 4mm (.16”). Stopper pin is 4 mm, which is too large for M16 lug. Maybe this is for some model of Galil?
Barrel clamp tightens to about 16 mm (.625”).

Online Hebrew translator tells me that the id-plate says something like:
Army item
Spotlight for small weapon
(Model?): (1?)000 - 86050
???? ??????
------------------------------
Warning:
Batteries must be placed
as indicated

Any info will be appreciated (weapon/model, year of manufacture, history, better translation).

Pictures don't seem to be working, let me try to get them up for you.

ETA: I don't recognize the light, but it looks like a pretty cool design.

Maybe ask the guys over at the " Mako group" in the industries section....

Very cool. Was anyone using 123s regularly in the 80/90s? Good luck with your search.

Maybe I spend too much time over on CPF, but that sucker is just begging for a retrofit to some serious lumenz.

Yes it should be modified. The light output is very poor with 3V. I don´t know if 123 batteries are correct for it, but they fit nicely.
Thanks Nameless_Hobo for fixing the pics.

4X CR123A? that'd be a beast of a light for sure!
