I got this light for Christmas
My question concerns its behavior as the batteries start to die. I was messing with it last night and the beam seemed to be at 100% or very close to it. I get home today and click it on and the beam is very dim. Is this normal? I would have thought there would be some gradual dimming but it seems to go from all to almost nothing. New batteries in and its right back so I don't really see a malfunction and I have run it plenty enough to kill the batteries I suppose. I knew I would kill em, like any new toy, so I purchased several sets. I just feel like if I had needed it it would not have been good to go with no indication that the batteries were failing. Is there something I need to look for? How often do you guys swap batteries if the light is just sitting unused? |

Replace batteries once a year if they are not used. |

Was still bright the next night, and I was lighting up trees all night long. It did still last till the end of the week, and finally went really dim that sunday night. ETA: I also have a Fury mounted on my carbine which never gets used, and have not changed the batteries since I put them in and it is as bright as ever. |

But it was a new toy and I have been demonstrating what it can do on, I mean , to a lot of friends . I'm sure I ran the batteries down. I just expected a gradual dimming I guess. |
