I picked up a protac hl light at an electronic store for $60.  600 lumen, really nice light.

Question, anyone running one on a rifle?  I searched and found a less than ideal YouTube video review.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I bought one recently to go on my M&P 15 Sport. I'm having a major coyote problem here on the farm. The last few nights they have come howling in the yard and spooking my horse. I mounted it and I think it does great. It doesn't have a pressure switch capability, but I don't need tactical anyway, just a good, strong affordable light. It has held up to the recoil just fine. No other lights out here at night, but it can illuminate up the whole field and woods behind my house for a good site picture with iron sites.

I used mine hunting this weekend (off the gun). I love it so far.

I am looking for a mount as well. Any recommendations?

I went to Cabalas and just bought a generic rail light holder. ( I have a magpul forearm with a rail addition). Until I did though, I used a rail scope ring to hold it. It did just fine, but I liked the light holder better. If you don't have rails, there is a company here in KY that makes one that attached to the bayonet lug. You'll have to Google it though, I can't remember the name.
