I picked up a Surefire Defender 500 lumins with preasure tape switch. Also picked up a four grip with built in Bipod. I like the light. It's plenty bright. Also like the four grip handle. Hate the way these pressure switches mount with Velcro. That is just a ghetto setup to me. I like the SR07 rail mounted switches. They are neat and tidy. But in my opinion take up way to much rail space. So I I've been thinking that unless somebody has designed and manufacture a handle that incorporates the pressure switch into it then I was kicking around the idea of designing my own handle. I am a CNC programmer/Machinist and manager. I can make anything I can think up. I just want to make sure that before I do it that there isn't one already being made. I don't mind buying one that doesn't cost stupid money but there is a cool factor of 10 to design my own that can be used with any pressure tape switch out there. Just rout it through the handle and easily mount the tape switch  to where the pressure switch is expose to your finger tips.

There are some on the market. I can't think off the top of my head but I'll search it for you.

Tango Down makes some, but a bit pricey. UTG also has one, which I used a airsoft copy before.

I've taken a look at both Tango down and UTG's pressure switch integrated handle and they are still Ghetto compared to what I've got in mind. Theirs just has a relief pocket for the Velcro. It can still be pulled right off your Velcro if the cord gets caught on a branch. I'm talking about 75% total cord concealment and a pressure switch that dovetails into the handle that wont get caught on anything. If that's all there is out there then I'll go ahead and make what I'm talking about. It will be way cooler than that stuff. And will be made of T6061 aluminum with black hard anodizing.

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to use double-sided tape in those pockets. I used 3M temflex tape to secure the tapeswitch to the handguard on my AR (BHD clone so ghetto is the order of the day).

There is almost no way you'll hide that phone cord in a handguard or any kind of enclosure that looks 'high-speed'. If you don't want to spend $60 on a surefire tailcap/switch combo then look into the Solarforce PTS-3. You can buy rail clips that have hooks that keep the tape switch cord out of the way (LaRue comes to mind).

Sure there is. I'm going to CAD it out with Solidwerks. Then build it. Once you see it then you'll know what I'm talking about. I'll be back later on with the prototype in my hand.

I CADed this up in about 10 min. It's just the handle portion that shows the pressure switch cavity that I had in my head. The switch pad just slides right into the cavity and is fully captured. Now all I've got left to model up is the rail mount portion. Then a routing cavity through the rail mount and the basic design is done. The cavity will accommodate pig tails or straight cords.
