I just ordered one of these (http://www.vikingtactics.com/lightsmounts_surefirel4.html). I plan to use a Gear Sector E2D mount with it.
Does anyone have any experience with these lights, and are they good quality?

you are asking if surefire lights are good quality?  surefire makes the best, most overpriced lights in the business.

They are great quality.  Warranty is even better should you happen to have an issue (which isn't likely).

I have a Scout M600B version with the KL4 head, and it was obviously deployed - it works just as good now as it did when it was new.  You won't be disappointed.

Awesome. I have it installed on my AR and it looks awesome and I'm glad I got it. I wasn't sure if going with a cheaper one would just be a waste of money or not. I figured i would go with something reliable so I didn't have to look for something better down the road. This seems like it should handle just about anything ill need it for and more. Thanks for the positive input!

Buy once, cry once.  You'll be happy with it!

I have a couple of these as well.  Been very happy with them.

I do have a question about them though.  I would like to run these lights with the Surefire SR07 dual pressure switch.  What else do I need (a different tail cap, etc) to make this light run with this pressure switch?  Thanks.

For reference, I'm talking about this light and this SF switch:

Any light with a KX2C head is going to perform the same as any other, provided that you feed it with 2x CR123 batteries.

You need a Surefire UExx (xx = length of tapeswitch in inches).  The most common one is the UE07.

Be sure you're sitting down before you look at the price...

The one thing I DO like about Surefire, is that price is *somewhat* justified in the fact that the item is very unlikely to break, and if it does, you are treated like a long-lost prodigal son and Surefire will do anything and everything to fix it for you, regardless of the facts behind the failure.

I had an M600A I bought from someone else, when the clicky died. I called Surefire, told them I bought it here on AR15.com on the EE, but it was "new" in the box (was, came in packaging from SF), and described the failure. By the end of the week, TWO spare tail caps had shown up. No return of the dead one requested, and much apologies offered, and the offending part had been redesigned and never gave a moment's trouble. I re-gifted the spare cap to a service member on another forum who explained his need for it and cash limitation.

I have the same set up, tried a bunch of different one but like the VTAC / Gear Sector set up the best.

Thank you.

I can't find a dual mode version of the UE07 though.  Do I have to buy one of those AND an SR07?

You can find standalone tapeswitch tailcaps on Ebay or the EE pretty frequently, for much lower than what SF asks for.

Yes.  The two parts are not sold together.  But as camel mentioned, they show up on the EE once in a while.

Not sure what you mean by "dual mode".  The KX2C head is a single mode

I was a bit lazy with the terminology there.  I should have said "dual pressure", a momentary on switch and a constant on switch.

Have been searching the EE for these.  Thanks for the help guys.
