I built an m600v. I really like the light to the extent I've gotten to use it. Can't comment on the IR portion, but it puts out a good bit of light. Inside it doesn't overpower, but it still reaches out a good distance to everything around my house.
The one thing I'm not huge on the 620 series lights are the mounting options. The 620/MIllennium series pattern has many fewer options than the 600 series body. The only thing I've ever disliked about the Scout series it that there are only 2 tailcap options. I would like a tailcap that has a both a clicky and a tapeswitch port. Only wilcox makes that, but it requires a proprietary tapeswitch plug. The scout is one of the best lights available. The size, weight, and mounting options sets it apart from other capable weapon lights. If you need IR the vampire series is a great light. |
