I like the Viking Tactical off set mount fairly light weight all polymer, and very sturdy mount IMO.

I'm diggin the GEAR mount. DD looks nice too. There's something about a polymer mount that doesn't appeal to me.

Larue makes one slightly heavier than the gear sector that is QD.

However for the money, quality, and great CS the gear sector one is hard to beat.

Nice set-up,Jason,but it's more than I want to spend right now. Sure like your light mounts, though.

Order up a Viking tactics L4 Mini and one of Justin's offset monts for the e series. Pretty much the same setup for about a hundred less.

I picked up a GEAR mount. I plan on using it to bring the light down closer to the VFG though.

I have a Gear sector e series mount with a Jetbeam BC10 in it. Its 470 lumens of light in a tiny 3.1oz package when powered with a lithium ion rechargable. Its right around $100 for the combo.

I mostly use these. Can't go wrong with Gear Sector or IWC though. Great products.

Kinda... This is a jetbeam bc10 head on a ba10 body. This allows me to run standard AA cells, 3v lithium AA cells, or lithium ion cells all in the same light. You will get about 175 lumens on 1.5 volt cells, 270 on 3 volt cells, and 470 on lithium ion cells.  Google "selfbuilt jetbeam bc10 review" to locate a thread over on cpf with all the technical details. The combo pictured is identical to the bc10 combo previously mentioned except the bc10 is shorter, and lighter.

For longer range use I reccomend the 4 sevens turbox quark with a single 123 cell body. This combo weighs 5.4 oz, but has substantally more throw. I also reccomend you opt for the neutral tint when offered if the light is to be used primarily outdoors.

For a scout light, i'd think the Danger close would be lightest. It's the most skelatonized and has a smaller mounting screw than the others.

I have both the GS and DCC in my parts box and while I prefer the GS, there's nothing wrong with the DCC mount and I'm sure its a gram or 2 lighter.
