I am looking at mounting a particular Surefire to my A4, and I wanted to know if first is this light is suitable to be mounted to my rail. Secondly what kind of mount would be required? There is a VLTOR mount I have in mind to use as well. This is going on a 20" rifle and I may want to eventually use a tape switch, can one be used with this type of light?

This is the exact light I am looking at,

And this is the mount I would like to use,

Will this set up be good to go and does anyone else have the same or similar set up?

Thanks in advance

I'm not a Surefire expert by any stretch of the imagination, but from what I have learned on this site 2 output lights like the one you are looking at are a no go.The light can toggle between the high and low output from the recoil of the rifle being shot.I'm not sure so take this with a grain of salt ,but I don't think Surefire makes a tape switch for that light.

Seems like you don't want to spend a lot of cash on a light,if that's the case take a look on this site for reviews of others brands like Fenix and others.A lot of people on here are very happy with them and seems to be in the price range your shooting for.

If you are looking to get a surefire weapon light I'm afraid your going to have to go big , cry once buy once.I bought a Surefire 600c about a year ago off Ebay for a decent price, or there are vendors on this site that are highly recommended and have great prices on Surefire lights.
