| Is the insight wX150 a good light? Compared to a TLR1? |
|
In my experience the WX150 splits the difference between the TLR and the Surefire X300's. My agency has close to 200 TLR-1's, most of which were purchased in '07. We've sent back between 8 -12 TLR's per year due to LED breakage. The TLR mounting system is also weak - too tight and the gun frame MIGHT be damaged, too loose and it will fall off the gun when fired.
Myself and another patrol officer have carried the WX's for over two years and have had no problems, aside from the latch spring needing replacing when we purchased them. In fact, My agency just purchased 10 of the WX's due to the problems with the TLR's. Get the Insight! |

I started with the M3s as an entry level light then switched to the WX150s. I have had two of them for several years and 0 problems. As far as the TLR1 goes, I stayed away because I shot next to a guy during a shooting school and watched his TLR 1 fall off his handgun several times.

I was shooting my g21 and it just kept moving on me. I got some grips and put some torque on it...no further issue. |
