| I have a Peq-2a. What distance should it be zeroed at? |
|
How far can you see it at?
Also remember that the 5,56 only deviates 2 or so inches when zeroed at 50 yards all the way out to 200 yards. So with aiming with an IR laser with nods on being as hard as it is I would say you are not going for sub MOA groups just trying to hit a pie plate is pretty darn good through nods |

What I do is put a plate out my back door at night at 50 yards. Then place the rifle with the laser mounted into a rifle rest or vice. Adjust the rifle until the irons or the scope is centered on the plate. Now without moving the rifle or rest make the adjustments on the laser to put the dot on the center of the plate. It often helps to have two people one to adjust and one to observe. That should be a very good starting point this has worked every time for me. |

We take a zero target target, cut out the 2" circle in the middle, put it on a stand 25m away. When the laser goes through the hole, you fire. Adjust from there. Depending on where the laser is in relation to the bore is where your rounds should be in relation to the circle. The rounds should be just outside the circle.
This is how we did it at Benning at the Infantry Officers School. |
