| I'd like to get an LED lamp or head for my old Surefire E2e. Something with similar performance to my X300s would be perfect. What is available that might work? |

Nice. I have two, but I thought the OP wanted to keep the existing bezel. Could be wrong though. |

What the details on this drop-in LED? The site says it's tested up to 250 Lumen but it doesn't say how long it will last? I would also like to know how durable it is. Do you have any links to any reviews of this LED assembly? |

Get the drop in. Cheaper and brighter with more choices. You can choose between a cool white or neutral led, 1, 2, or 3 modes. Here is more info on the Veleno drop in. http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?229715-SureFire-E-Series-XP-G-Tower-Modules-Run-2 |

Get the single mode Veleno drop-in. I have the 3-mode and I'm in the process of exchanging it for a single mode as the 3-mode is not intuitive for most uses.
I bought mine here: http://www.lighthound.com/Veleno-Designs-E-series-Drop-In-Neutral-White-LED-Single-Mode_p_3664.html |

I have not thrown my E1e and E2D around, but I have not babied them either. The single mode cool white will deliver 250 + Lumens OTF. With a 17670 Li-Ion battery expect 50-60 minutes of full power light, with a very rapid drop off. Because it uses the original bezel, there is a noticeable hot spot in the center, but it is not all throwy. |

I have one of these and have been very pleased with it thus far. Use it on my work EDC light. No idea how they handle recoil. |
