Ok, so my final purchase before buying nothing buy ammo is a light.

Money is tight though... so id like to get costs down.

But i would also like to keep quality high... so what can you suggest for me?

this is the rifle.

Notice i have the VLTOR CASV system there.. so mounting is not that big of a problem... i have options.

Ok so i want the best bang for my buck.  Need a mount as well.

I am not adverse to "building" a flashlight if that is the best way to get the best i can..

So my total budget is about $150.  If i can get something for less... even better.   Im ok with lurking the EE looking for a good deal. Or whatever.

Primary concern is weight.

SureFire/VTAC-L4
Elzetta

Those are, IMO, THE BEST bang for your buck.  Down the list a little further I would say a SureFire G2L.

I take it you have a rear sight?

I'm a SureFire fanboy and would thus recommend a M600c (here's one on eBay for $199). It will be tough to get one for $150, but I'm sure you could get one close to that price if you waited around. A M96x or M95x (Millennium Universal light) would fit your budget, but weight would be an issue.

A lot of people will be recommending Elzetta. They are a little cheaper than the SureFire, but I have no experience with them.

ETA: I'm considering only dedicated weaponlights.

Yep.. Troy is in the mail.

Why only dedicated weaponlights?  What about like a G2?
