Anyone see the new Laser Genetics line of green laser designators? I have only seen the ND3 which is good to 250 yds with a good scope or binoculars. Its basicly night vision that you can see. I plan on mounting one on my Stag. Check them out: www.lasergenetics.com

Maybe I'm missing something here. There's been a lot of interest in this thing lately, and correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it emit a VISIBLE green light? What does that have to do with night vision? The purpose of all my NV gear is to remain invisible, not project a big 'ol bright visible beam of light toward my target. Who cares if it's green? I could simply shine a 300-600 lumen regular weaponlight toward the target and illuminate it, or tape a red, blue, pink or purple lens on it and do the same thing. Hell, the tiny red glow from my IR illuminators pisses me off.
Just not seeing ANY connection to night vision other than they both emit a green light/glow, but the ND3 shoots it the wrong way. Maybe if you mount it backwards and stare into the green laser? I can see it used as a designator or illuminator, just like other green visible lasers are, which is fine. I just don't get the night vision connection. Am I missing something??

And yea, animals arent bothered by the green light.
