I've owned two of them, in my opinion it is the nicest purely aiming laser (yes I know it has an LED illuminator but that doesn't do much for me) out there.  I've used all the well known IR lasers w/ the exception of the newer insight stuff.  VITAL units are outstanding and IMHO, have the perfect power output for aiming both indoors and out unless you want something mega powerful...  but that's why the make the ATILLA.  Small, lightweight, outstanding design, built tough, what else could you ask for in an IR aimer?

+1 here. Vital-2 = the BEST door kicker IR laser out there.

Why not use it?  IR lasers are hard to come by on the civie market.

how's this compare to the PEQ-2's aiming laser?  And if i understand this correctly, the IR emitter is about on par with the PVS onboard emitter, correct?
