I have long been a huge fan of the Malkoff M60 LEDs. Tons of light and pretty much bulletproof construction. I must have easily bought and given away a dozen or more over the last couple of years to friends in some very dangerous places. I was thus really bummed to find out that the M60 will no longer be sold by Malkoff (with the possible exception of contracts with Elzetta, who still uses them in their excellent lights) It was with some reservations that I ordered two SureFire 6Ps and three M61s from my friend and light 'pusher' Calvin at Brightflashlights.
I swapped lamps / LEDs in the 6Ps and went to night firearms training last week...I mean 4AM 'night'. Turns out my reservations were misplaced. The M61 is, I think, an even better light for home or LE use since it has more spill and seems to have as much throw as an M60 or near enough that I will never worry about it. 75 yards is nothing and is very well lit...more than enough for farm or home relatively close range searching and ID. All 3 M61s are destined for that same very dangerous place and will be 'life or death' tools for good people and good cops. They will be well equipped. Thanks, Calvin...and thanks to Gene Malkoff too! I will be buying more M61s for sure! |

Doesn't throw quite as much as others I've had (x300) but put's out a huge wall of light - big, fat hot spot with smooth transition to very bright spill ––- It's a wall of light. I talked to Gene and he said they clocked these things at 285 lumens out-the-front, but he likes to rate things conservatively. Not bad for 2:15 in regulation either. I can't decide if I would want to use an M60 or M61 ... Optic vs reflector. I think I would like a little more throw but I'd lose spill and a good amount of runtime. |

I love Malkoff's line of lights and drop ins...
Back when our nephew graduated from Scout-Sniper school we decided to get him a Malkoff light while he was home on leave We had some ordering glitches and I got worried we would not get his light to him before he left to go back to his home station and I had to call Gene to ask about my light... When he and his wife found out our nephew was active duty and this was a graduation present They next day'd it to him for and refused to charge us for the light or shipping Needless to say we while we were Malkoff fans before...we are even more so now.. Just ordered MD3 body and head form my new M61 Waiting on an MD4 body and a Wildcat head when they get back in stock |

FYI: Malkoff M60's will soon be available again for individual purchase. For the last several months, production of our Elzetta ZFL-M60 Flashlights has consumed all M60 production but we are ramping up production and hope to be caught up enough to begin selling M60's separately (at least in limited quantities) this summer. FYI2: Malkoff M61 Modules are fully compatible with Elzetta ZFL-M60 Flashlights (with the optional cover window). We have opted to keep the M60 Modules standard in our lights as they produce greater throw and the "soft edge" of the optic in the M60 is very desirable in a tactical light. |

This is great news, the M61's are great, but I wanted a little more throw. I'll be keeping an eye on your website for availability. |

God bless you for helping the good guys. I debated on the M60 vs the M61 for a while. I eventually went with the M61 and was able to make it work with my Pentagon Light which I currently use on my duty rifle. I know this is a little off topic, how did you get the malkof to work with your pentagon light? |
