Hi –– I have a few X300's that I use on my rifles.  On my AR - I mount it on the forward part of my rail in front of the front BUIS, and actuate directly using my weak hand thumb.

On my MSAR E4, I currently run it on a rail that is forward of and above the pistol grip at about 4 O'clock.  This is a problem as when using the forward grip "full-retard" style my hand blocks much of the X300's beam.  I want to mount my X300 at 12 O'clock on the top rail.  Unlike the AR - I will need to use a tape switch.

Surefire makes the ST tape switches that plug into the backs of the lights - but you need some sort of adapter to use the tape switch with an X300.  Can anybody tell me where to get this adapter specifically for a X300?  I saw you can get it if you buy one of their rail mounted tape switch kits –– but I need a non-rail mounted tape switch to secuure to my MSARs forward grip.

Thanks

I checked out Surefire's site and what I need is called a "XT tailcap assembly".  This will allow me to plug in a ST series pressure switch.

So where can I buy an XT tailcap assembly???

As shown by the link, SureFire's XT remote switch assembly for their X-Series lights comes as standard as the XT07. That is with the SR07 remote switch rather than the ordinary ST07 that comes standard with the XM07, UM07 and UE07 TailCaps.

The XM, UM and UE TailCaps can be ordered without any remote switch at all allowing you to order the exact non-standard remote switch you need (such as a shorter or longer length cable for example). By themselves these TailCaps are XM00, UM00 and UE00.

SureFire are not currently offering the XT switch assembly by itself (as the XT00) so you would have to get the STxx remote tape pressure switch you want separately. I suppose this allows you to order the specific length you require for your configuration (you could use the SR07's cable as a guide to determine whether an inch longer or shorter would work better.

I did contact them and they said "

The XT tailcap is only available as a bundle with the SR07 rail pressure/constant on switch which makes up the XT07. Unfortunetly the tailcap is not available for individual purchase."

OK so in summary - if I want this capability I need to:

1.  Buy or have a X300
2.  Buy a XT07 remote dual switch kit which includes the XT tailcap
3.  Buy an ST07 tape switch and plug kit

I've got to say –– it sucks to have to spend over $200 on top of the cost of the X300 to get a non-rail mounted pressure switch.  I guess I'll sell my X300 and start over with a M300A and an offset mount :(

Or you can give BrightFlashlights a call. He can probably put together a package deal so that you can get exactly what your want.
