how do I go about attaching a surefire SR07 mount to my surefire 6P. I have no intention of switching weapon lights because that thing has sentimental value to me. Is there a threaded back to the light i can get to have the plug in for the SR07 mount?

There isn't a way to adpat the 6P to a SR07 currently.   A few companies make a pressure switch for the 6P that has a built in tailcap, but nothing that uses the Surefire plug.

I would call surefire and ask if such a thing is coming out, or is out, but not on their website or catalogs.  You may also want to ask them if hte M951 tailcap for their weaponlights would fit the Surefire 6P.  I am not sure if it would or not, but they don't list it as an option on their site.

There are TWO main TailCaps you can use:

UM00

XM00

The 6P features SureFire's "Standard" TailCap threads.
The Millennium Universal WeaponLight System (such as the M95) also features the standard threads.

The "00" indicates you just get the TailCap without any remote switch. This could work out more cost effective since you want the SR07 remote switch rather than the ST07 the XM07 comes with.

Any SureFire Dealer can order you either the UM00 or XM00 TailCaps.

I would contact Brightflashlights.com; they are a site sponsor and usually have all the Surefire LEGO stuff you need - check their page in the Industry Forum for contact info.

Hope this helps,
Clint

Wrong

All he needs is a Surefire UM tail cap then he can plug his SR07 switch into that and yes it WILL work on the 6P or G2 lights.

If you would have read down further, I said the same thing to the OP before anyone else did.  I told him to contact Surefire and see if the M951 cap would fit.  I only said that Surefire doesn't list any tailcaps for the 6P that take the switch plug, but thought the M951 may work.

You should read more before commenting.
