He thinks there's a possibility this will be the year. SF advertised an LED head for the M3 series in their 2008 catalogue, so you're right... it's well past due. I guess we'll just have to cross various body parts, wait, and see... |

I was just looking into the Lumens Factory replacement head. It's a "Turbo" style replacement head. There's some technical info about it on their site but not much and it's sold out with no pricing listed. It's 950 lumens but no mention of run time etc. They also make a Xenon replacement bulb for the M3 series that costs about $20.00 - 380 lumens but it has kinda' shitty run times... 50 minutes on the high end.

The lack of availability of an LED retrofit for the M500A and M500B has been aggravating me for a few years. At this point I have a half dozen M500s in various configurations that need upgrading. I love the ergonomics and the switching options, but come on Surefire-enough is enough
