Hello Everyone,
I must say, I am very happy with my Strion; it's an awesome light. However, I have a few questions I am wondering if anyone can answer: 1. Is there a pressure switch end cap available for the Strion? 2. Is there a protective front cap available? Thanks, TJ |

First off, the Strion, whether in Xenon or LED form is shit for a light. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of similar size lights that far outperform it.
If you have a charger that will charge the battery sticks independently, that makes it better, but still a poor choice. What are you going to do when both batteries are dead? If my 123A light goes tits up, I slap in more. If it goes dead again, repeat. Do whatever floats your boat, but the fact that its a seldom used light only strengthens the argument for a 123A light. |

Personally, I think it's an outstanding light. It would be even better if it could be fitted with a pressure switch, hence my original question. Anyone have an answers? TJ |

HMMMMMM both batteries going dead in the same 12 hours? ok but but what if they stop making CR123A , what if a giant meteor hits the tailcap, what if I take the batteries out and throw them over a cliff what will I do then? OP if you like your light use it, check your local police equipment supply house for the accessories you want. |

TigerJon,
I don't believe you will find a pressure switch for the Strion due to where the switch actually is. The switch is actually near the head. When you actuate the button on the rear, you are really pushing the battery up and into the switch contacts. I can't see of any way of making a remote that would work on that configuration. As to the front cap, I guess I'm confused as to what you are asking for. Can you elaborate further? |

I own a tactical strion as well as several other streamlights and surefires.
I don't know why people can be so harsh on this site sometimes. I think people get too focused on zombie attacks and SHTF that they loose sight of reasonable things. Sure the strion is rechargable, sure that means if you had to have you light on for hours on end it would die. That doesn't mean you cant have a spare battery; it does however ensure you have a full charge instead of some month old 123's with plenly of tacticool through teh bedroom use. The strion is just as good as the g2/6p series IMO (I own both.) I don't think a tapeswitch is available from streamlight, they might have a 3rd party available. I prefer a pushbutton so I have never looked. My G2 stays perm mounted to my HD AR and my strion stays on the bedstand next to the XD's. I just through it in the charger and that way I know its G2G if there is a bump in the night. |
