I have a Scout M600C with KX2C LED and a LU60A with P60 and FM63 Filter.  The LU60A with P60 is for night missions. Should I replace the P60 Lamp with the P61 inside of a LU60A module for night vision only use?

Depends. Do you need run-time, or brightness more?

Not sure really.  What would be the happy medium?  I don't see the light being on for more than 2 hours, and would have batteries readily available.  Now that I think about it, since I will always have night vision readily available, should I sell the KX2C head and just get a P61 Lamp?  I can't decide on if it's worth the extra load carrying an extra head?  When would I use the KX2C vs a LU60A w/ P61?  Should I run an illuminator instead of trying to make the Scout work well for NV?  I'm thinking of putting a helmet mounted illuminator like this http://www.surefire.com/HelmetLight-B

Call Victor at Tactical Night Vision Company. He is a sponsor, deals with your kinds of delimas all day, and won't try to sell you crap for the sake of making a buck. Good guy to field those above questions to.

In real world, the P61 is only slightly brighter than the P60, while having significantly less runtime and drawing more current drom the battery, which may be a problem if you're using the tape switch. I'd stick with the P60.

+1

I have used MN10 and MN11 bulbs, before. It was lame.  I ran the MN10. Lots more run-time, not enough light difference to matter.
