What are the differences in these set ups? Advantages, disadvantages? Which do you recommend? Thanks.

| M951 has battery retention to isolate the batts from the head. Important for incan lights. M600 is smaller and lighter. The M600 takes an E2D sized head or can accept a M951 sized head. If you will use an LED there is no reason to get an M951 over an M600 IMO. They can use the same tail caps too. |

The current ScoutLight is the M600C with the KX2C LED bezel.
Being a "E-Series" light it uses the same TailCaps as the E-Series flashlights - E2DL/E2L etc The M600C can be converted to an incandescent light with the LU60A Lamp Module. The M95 is a standard body light using TailCaps interchangeable with the 6P/M2 etc. The M600C is obviously less bulky, less weight and less length and thinner than the M95. Being an LED light the M600C can not be effectively filtered for IR-only output. However, SureFire offer a couple of solutions. The M95 comes with the XM TailCap featuring both a clickie switch and a plug-in remote switch cable. The ScoutLight comes with both a Z68 Clickie TailCap switch, and a TailCap with plug-in remote switch cable (UExx) For straight white-light users the M600C would appear to be an extremely attractive option, especially if the Clickie switch is your preferred interface. |
