what light would be better for my m4 , im planing on mounting it on a weaver rail attached to hand guards and a 1 inch split ring scope mount . so should i use a 35.00 g2 or 55.00 6p ?

Either would work fine.  Cost and weight would be the two big factors. The G2 of course being a tad bit lighter, by about 1oz.

The G2 is lighter and cheaper, but if you plan on getting a high output LED dropin, you'll want a 6P for the heatsinking properties of the metal body.

Can you guys help me out? I have a Sure Fire 6P that won't turn on. I changed the batteries, checked the tail cap every thing seem normal. Can it be the lamp that is not working? I bought it for my wife a year ago.

Sounds like the lamp is blown.  Surefire rates their lamps for 30 hours of life.  Some will go 50 hours, a few might last only a couple.  Think of this as the opportunity to upgrade to an LED.

. Thanks I appreciate the help. My wife is a Sgt for the Caguas PD here in P.R and I was on the force for 6 years (she use to be my supervisor before we married) now I have been working for the FBOP for 6 1/2 years now. My grand father was a cop, my father was a cop (retired Captain) so you get the picture. Thanks again for the help.

A 1 inch ring will work fine.

Sounds like you have a plan there. Get a LED version or your 6P will end up like my wifes. for hunting just by the new polymer LED 6P it is cheaper.
