Well I got my FGA when it came out and have loved it ever since I got it. But I have run into a problem. It seems like it has a weak point in the tac-light holder. I had it mounted on my rifle and had hit it the ground. And it now has a crack in it. Now at first it didn’t seem like a problem but after playing around with it I found just moving it a couple of centimeters causes the switch to not work anymore. I'm looking for a quick fix for it, because I plan on using this down range with me and that's coming up very soon. So I’m currently looking for a quick fix. I just wanted to put this out for everyone, because if the crack becomes any bigger that could be a problem in sector. Or even if your the avg. tac guy you could lose some money. I could lose my surefire 6PL and my IR filter and that’s almost $200 gone.

Here are some pics, sorry for the quality of the pics.

I think there is a lot of stress in the area where the crack started as you have to tighten the retaining screw pretty hard to get secure a 1" Surefire light. The part that actually clamps the light has to bend considerably. Somebody once stated that the FGA was designed for the larger G2/G3 Nitrolon lights but they are only like .040" larger so don't think that's quite correct. Call CAA and see if they'll replace it. If you need an immediate fix, try JB Weld but that may hinder getting help later on from CAA.
