Just bought a SureFire X300, Wondering if there are better batteries for this and or who's got a good deal going for SF123A batteries. Did a google search but wanted General info from the pros here. Thanx, Rodical |

According to SureFire you should use SureFire brand SF123A batteries. However, you can use any Made In America CR123A batteries. Make sure you can trust the retail source [not to sell you counterfeits of whichever brand you go for] Standard CR123A safety precautions still apply. I can run through them if you like. |
This is one of my thoughts of the post, Thanxs. Don't want to do bizz with the wrong crowd. What pre-cautions? |
Do not mix battery brands. Do not mix battery types. Do not mix new and used batteries. Do not mix used batteries. Do not re-used sets of used batteries. Except that depleted batteries may be used in single-battery devices. Some people do this for low-output flashlights for low-risk use. Do not attempt to recharge CR123A batteries. Do not expose batteries to water or high-humidity atmosphere. Do not subject batteries to excessive or rapid thermal cycling (changes in temperature) where condensation can occur. Store them in a cool, dry place. Emphasis on the dry. Do not short-circuit. Ensure batteries are stored and transported such that they are individually isolated to prevent short-circuiting. Do not use damaged or abused batteries. Ensure devices containing CR123A batteries are disabled for transportation and storage. Follow device manufacturer instructions regarding battery care - remove batteries from device when not in use if instructed to do so. Use only the type and brand of batteries instructed by the manufacturer of the device. Except where told use non-American made CR123As. Use only American made CR123A batteries from a reliable retailer. In fact if a device instructs the use of non-American made CR123A batteries question whether than particular device should be used in the first place. Did I mention use American-made CR123A batteries? Keep 'em dry. Keep 'em isolated. |
| looks like i'm a little late as you've already ordered but for future advice check out batterystation.com. i have 2 g2's a m3t a e1e e2e L1 L2 and a g3 and i've only used their batteries after i paid 1.75 a pop for surefires... go to candlepowerforum.com and sign up and make some posts. there is a discount thread in one of the dealers forums. i use to get the battery station ones for 1 per with the discount but it's 1.25 now. still the best deal! i have about 100 in a pelican case. they are usa made and from a battery test that was run with like 6+ cr123a brands they came out first or second. |

The Panasonic CR123s have a good reputation. You can get them at www.batteryjunction.com/20encr3vophl.html at 50/$67.50, or $1.35 each. |
