Does anybody know if the mounts for these lights are interchangeable? I have found the dual thumbscrew model on ebay for much cheaper, but I would really like to have the throw lever mount, but not if it's not interchangeable. I got burned when I bought my OTAL thinking I would be able to switch it out for the throw lever only to find it was build into the housing. Thank in advance! Yes, they are. It's just 2 screws underneath the mounts. I do the same thing.....I buy the 961 'cuz they're a little cheaper then remove the thumbscrew mount and get a Larue SF mount (LT 170).  The ARMS mount is ok, but the Larue locks on tight and is adjustable for tightness. Get the Larue you won't be disappointed.  |
| Has anybody ever seen Surefire knock off floating around the web? Just curious. There seems to be every other kind of knock off of scopes, lasers, etc. I just scored a SureFire M961XM07, brand new in the box for $190 shipped off ebay, but I almost feel as if it's too good to be true. |
nah, you got a good deal and that's pretty much it. I bought a couple here on the EE brand new in the box and still sealed for only $220 shipped for each. There's always guys selling them here so you just gotta keep your eyes open for them. You got a good score so Congrats!

| Got the light yesterday, amazing light, it was all good. I couldn't believe the beef that was behind this light, it was just solid. I have never really dealt with Surefire, but was amazed at how sturdy and well built that light was. Thanks to all for your suggestions. |
