| whats gonna have better output, TLR-1 or G2 LED? i know the TLR-1 is rated to last 2.5 hrs but is that 2.5 of 65-80 lumen light or no? |
I'm not aware of a runtime/output chart having been done for the TLR-1 so its impossible to tell. Also note that it's not possible to compare output ratings from one manufacturer to the next because they measure (if they do actually measure, which is rare) them differently. |

IIRC when I run tested my first TLR-1 the light stayed in regulation for about 90 minutes. Tailcap current consumption was 825 mA, so 90 minutes seems a reasonable conclusion. Definitely more than an hour, but well less than 2.5 hours, Streamlight is blowing smoke with their claim. The different form factor between the TLR-1 and G2L would seem like a better issue to base your choice upon. Paladin
