| Need an underbarrel flashight with a remote switch that doesn't cost an arm and leg. |
|
contact mr calvin @ Bright Flashlights--he'll offer sage advice on lights and mounts, great prices, and great CS |
|
I have an M3x and it is around $150 with the cord. there is an M3 and a M3x version the x one is brighter. pic of one mounted |

Hmm, I have used several Elzetta mounts and never had a problem. I have always been careful not to over-tighten the screws (especially the clamping screw) as warned in the instructions (yes, I read instruction manuals, sometimes Can't beat it for $30 IMHO. |
I tightened to specs...the screw went right through the clamping part. I read the directions too. I think it was 10 in-lbs |
| I am a BrightFlashLights fan boy to say the least. I would not buy a flashlight related item from anyone else in the industry. He is extremely knowledgeable about all the products he carries, knows what will and will not work together and can help you decide on what you need based on your ideas on how you plan to use it. |
it definitely is a design flaw IMHO. something that delicate should not be on a combat rifle. my .02 it does look nice though. |
Agreed |
Go talk to Brightflashlights in the Industry forum. I'm sure he can set you up with a Surefire 650 system (classic 6v weapon light) with a Surefire underbarrel mount and a tape switch under budget. |
Maybe he'll only loose an arn or a leg..... |
Yup. Great guy to deal with. Set up this rig: SF 6P body, shock bezel, 9V adapter, and Z42 tail cap.

For the price I love my Streamlight TL-3 w/ rail mount and remote switch. I think the whole setup cost me around $100. The TL-3 is very bright (200 lumens). The only difference I can see between it and the Surefire lights that are on our duty AR's is the tightness of the beam. The Streamlight has a few dark spots while the Surefire is more consistent. My .02 |
