| I'm looking to upgrade my G2 and found this module: Deal Extreme. Is this the one I want? There are at least 3 that say they're replacements for a P60 sized bulb. Let me know, I don't want to order the wrong one. MJD |

If you want the best drop in out there, get a Malkoff. Got a note from Gene Malkoff yesterday:

I put this one in my G2 that has a Z32 bezel, and it works great, but only after I removed the larger outer spring DX Cree It was inconsistent in operation before I removed the outer spring, so I guess that's the trick. I think having the Z32 bezel really helps when it comes to fitting aftermarket lamp assemblies; no worries about fit and the bezel not screwing all of the way down. ETA: I also put a Nextorch reverse clickie tailcap on this G2. I keep this light on my nightstand, and it really lights a room up at night. At some point I am going to go the cheap route for a weapon light using a G2 w/ Z32 and aftermarket LED, but I think in doing this I am going to use a more reputable LED assy, like a bugoutgearusa or malkoff mod. Not that I have had any problems with the DealExtreme assy, but I'm not sure that I would trust it to hold up to recoil. Who knows though, it could work just fine for this purpose. |
