Anyone have any experience with this mount. I am looking for a low cost, but reliable, flashlight mount. Thanks. |
It is indeed what you are looking for, as you describe it. The thing that I like most is that it is light-weight, and looks cool. Mine fits very tight and secure. If you are trying to have the option of light, yet want to keep everything light weight as possible [e.g., plastic A1 or A2 handguards] this is the way to go in my opinion. 266 |

I love it! To me, the ergonomics are perfect! The mount is in the most non-obtrusive position possible. You are able to maintain a natural grip and control the light effortlessly with the addition of a click on lock out tail cap. I've the G2 LED and its is awsome as well, making me want to throw away my old incandescent G2's and 6P's. Oh yeah, did I mention the fact that it is light in weight and inexpensive and allows you to mount an inexpensive light? I had full intentions of spending $400 and ended up spending a tad over $100 including the click on tail cap. I'd say the only negative is that you need 3 hands and 21 fingers to mount it. It would be MUCH easier if the screws were 1/8" longer. |
Yes, it is a bit awkward to install. I found that installing the top two screws loosely and then sliding the flashlight into the mount before installing the bottom screws is much easier than trying to sandwich everything together all at once. Plus, with this method, it is easy to fine tune the position of the flashlight before tightening everything down. |
