Dude; there is no "better." it's all personal preference. Read the threads and you will see that there are a lot of threads from newbies asking this same axact question.

Go to a gunshow and find look through both of them. :) But I'll stick my head out for you...these are my observations:

Eotech:

Big ass field of view
Has a 1 MOA dot so it is a little more precise
Shorter battery life than aimpoint (I don't know about the lithium one though)
Does not require a mount (recommended though)
Cheaper than aimpoint

Aimpoint:

Slightly smaller field of view
Bigger dot (2MOA/4MOA), easier to use with CQB
Longer battery life than eotech
Requires a mount
More expensive

One is not better than the other, they have strengths and weaknesses.

You can get into a Eotech for a little less than the Aimpoint since the
Eotech has a built in mount.
The Aimpoint needs a seperate mount and ends up costing more.
