I've seen a lot of these green lasers at gun shows. Supposedly they are more visible during the day and for longer distances. Has anyone had a chance to see if green is really any better in the field yet (like when someone is shooting back at you)?

I had a green laser that U could see 100 yards out in the day time, and at least 800 yards out at night (it would've gone further, but I had nothing further to shine it on - I'll bet it would go a mile - it was claimed to go 10,000 yards). The problem w/ the green laser is that it's really best for outdoor use and long range use. Inside, it is dangerous to the eyes, IMHO. In a room's distance, it hurt my eyes just to look at the dot on the wall. I think U'd need to at least aim it about 7 yards out to make it comfortable to look at (at least the one I had). Also, while messing with it, I had a reflection off of a green vase flick some light back at me, and my eye bugged me afterwards. And this was not a mirror or anything just a round, glazed surface that happened to reflect some light back. In a dark room, the green laser lit up the room like a flashlight, and at night or in the dark, U could SEE the beam. For stealth or most practical purposes, that's not a good situation. I ended up selling it and buying a red laser. I just wanted it for self defense, household distance use - and that's really much better. Had I had enough mounting room on my PS90, I may have kept it and mounted both a red and green one, but the green would have only been for outdoor range use at the day.
