I am looking to setup my ar15 with a light.  I’d like something that can be used for CQB style drills as well as punch out 75-100 yards if needed.  I’ve been looking at surefire 6-9-12v millennium series lights but don’t want to drag myself into the “bigger is better” syndrome (the M4 devastator does look cool though. Lol). I’ve also seen the gladius mentioned.  I’d prefer a LED light if I gain runtime and don’t loose through.  I’ll probably mount it off-set and use the thumb switch (no tape switch).  I'm not stuck on surefire by any stretch.  I'm just looking for a combat ready light thats powerful but also not to heavy.

One other potential issue.  This carbine wears a M4-2000 suppressor.  Any idea how to keep "shadow" to a minimum and how to mount it to reduce that?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I have to tell you up front I am parcel to surefires. If you look for a post M3T vs 9P this will help you maybe. Also Calvin at brightflashlights.net knows his stuff when it comes to lights.
